Townsville native proudly moulded in the crucible of Australian patriotism, thrust into the world of family businesses at the ripe age of 4. I have a relentless love affair with food, a knack for business wizardry, and an unapologetic self-declaration as the Food Truck maestro excelling in organised operations and streamline procedures.
With over two decades in the hospitality game and navigating the unpredictable landscape of my own ventures, I've emerged as a seasoned expert in the culinary realm. No need for the overplayed charm often found in online antics. It's not just about serving up scrumptious dishes; it's about infusing each bite with authenticity, a hint of humour, and a generous dose of unbridled intelligence. After all, why try hard when you can try smart?
From my early days standing on a stool, selling $1 scratchies in our family's newsagency, to managing multiple stores for my parents, each step taught me invaluable lessons about retail and the essence of old-school customer service.
Life took an unexpected turn when my father and I ventured into franchise food ventures, thinking it would be a smoother ride. Little did we know, it would be a rollercoaster of tough lessons. Dealing with soaring rents and feeling suffocated by restrictions, I found inspiration in the movie "Chef." The tale of breaking free and launching a food truck business ignited a fire within me. Thus, The Feel Good Foodie was born in February 2017, marking the exciting and nerve-wracking beginning of what was to be my new ‘truckin' love.
As a local council preferred supplier, winner of the AIM management award, rated “top 3” food truck, and proudly catering top national events such as the V8s, NRL, State of Origin, Groovin the Moo, Beef Australia, Winton Way out West Fest, NAFA, and many more.
Fast forward 8 years, and we're still here, loving the food truck life but hungry for more. Witnessing fellow food truckers struggle, I've realized the importance of systems and support. Fortunate to have gained the freedom to set my own hours and enjoy life with my family, I owe it to my parents for instilling the value of true business freedom.
